In today’s post I’m going to show you how to install Facebook pixel on WordPress really quickly. Facebook pixels are extremely useful, you can pinpoint your users by their age, gender, where they come from and even what browsers they use.
You can use this information to advertise to new users or just use as a general guideline of who you’re targeting. So let’s get right into it.
Facebook Ads Manager
The first thing you want to do is login to Facebook of course then go to this link facebook.com/ads/manager you’ll be redirected to this page which is your Facebook Ads account. Once on this page you can just click on settings it’ll take you to this settings page.
Click on settings at the top left corner then you’ll be greeted with a menu and you want to go to pixels. It’s gonna take a moment to load your pixels and you can just click on get started with Facebook pixel.
They make it extremely easy for you to upload it if you have a WordPress website or Shopify or anything like that you can use integrations tag manager then you don’t have to use the code yourself. Just click on the first option WordPress then click on download.
Now what you want to do is just keep this file in mind and we’re going to go to our WordPress website. Next we’re going to go down to plugins and click add new.

Adding Your Pixel
At the top they give you the option to upload a plugin and that’s exactly what we’re gonna do. Now click activate plug-in and our website should be connected to our Facebook. Just keep in mind it might take a couple of minutes or up to 20 minutes for it to become active.
All right, so when the pixel is installed you’ll see a little button light up as green and that’ll mean your pixel has accumulated some data about your site and this can take some some minutes to activate but our pixel has been installed.
Now you’ll be able to see your analytics, a lot of these things won’t display if it’s a brand new site you’re not going to have a lot of data to work around but as soon as you get a bit more activity everything will start activating.
