Making $1000 per Month Online
If you’re just starting out and trying to make $1,000 per month online, please do not waste your time with online surveys. I know that’s the first thing most people recommend.
But what you will find is that you’ll only be offered a few surveys a day and it pays very little for the time you have invested and to be honest it’s just not sustainable.
Affiliate marketing is what I would recommend for the fastest and easiest way to make $1,000 per month online and is my favorite way to make money online. For those starting out it can be a bit of a learning curve but the method is simple. Give people what they want or need and you can receive a commission.
Affiliate marketing is a simple as referring a person to a site, you may get a commission if they purchase something or perform an action, like click on a link or sign up for a service such as Direct TV, credit card offers, a new phone service or insurance company.
Nowadays almost every major company has an affiliate program to help promote their products and will gladly pay you for sending customers their way. What you want to find out is what each company is willing to pay out for commissions.
You could become an Amazon affiliate and promote any product but you will find they have a relatively low commission payout, anywhere from 2% to 10%.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s better than a sharp stick in the eye but you will need to make a lot of sales to reach $1,000 per month. It can be done as myself and many others do this each month but it is for more experienced marketers.
How To Start Making $1,000 per Month Online
It all starts with finding a niche that you enjoy and are knowledgeable about, it’s not a must but it will help you keep your interest and easier to relate to others who are looking into purchasing something from that niche.
A niche is simply a group of people that have an interest in something. It can be learning to sew, working out, playing video games, etc. Believe me, there is literally a niche for everything. Once you decide on your niche, you want to avoid being too broad.
The examples above are too broad but to narrow it down you could have a niche for learning to sew wedding dresses, working out for men over 60, or how to play a specific video game.
The reason you want to narrow your niche down is if you go to broad there is so much competition. The more you narrow down your niche the easier it will be to get in front of potential customers.
After you have decided on your niche you will want to make sure you can monetize it. By that I mean, you must be able to promote a product or service that can get you paid.
From the examples above about sewing, you could promote a certain sewing machine from Amazon. You could promote one of the million workout programs such as Beachbody or you could promote the latest video game keyboards from Amazon.
Whatever you decide for your niche if you’re looking to build a long term sustainable income you must have a website. You could simply send out emails with your affiliate link to friends or thru facebook but that is not a long term strategy and will not get you in front of all the potential customers out there.
The Work It Takes To Make a $1,000 per Month
So, get a domain name. You can use godaddy or namecheap to buy domains. You’ll want a domain name that will be related to your niche. It could be sewingweddingdresses.com or menoversixtyworkouts.com or videogameplaybook.com
Just use your imagination and try to keep your domain name under 15 characters and please use a .com extension as it’s more trustworthy.
Okay, you’ve got your domain, niche and affiliate link taken care of let’s get started with setting up a website. You will need to have your website hosted and there are many hosting providers. Hostgator, Bluehost or the one I have always used Worthyhost.
You’ll want to install wordpress on your new site and if you shoot me a message I can send you some great walkthru videos that will help.
If you haven’t heard the term “keyword research” don’t worry, this is just the act of finding keyword phrases that are relevant to your niche and deciding whether or not it is appropriate to build content around that particular keyword.
This is going to be the key to all your search engine optimization success, so we are going to be researching keywords before we get into creating content.
A keyword is simply a word or phrase that people search for in the search engines.
Anytime you do a google search you are entering a “keyword” into the search box. The objective of your keyword research is to find keywords that you can get rankings in Google, Yahoo, and Bing with, all while attracting a relevant audience.
You will be using the keywords that you find to build content around. This will lead you to search engine rankings and traffic to your website!
Each page you create will be targeting a keyword. The more pages you create needless to say, will create more potential Google rankings.
This can and will lead to mass amounts of traffic and those that are willing to put in the effort and follow along with this training are going to see their traffic continue to go up with every “keyword targeted” page or post that they create on their website.
Remember, Google and other search engines focus on quality content and if you use that quality content to target low competition keywords you will ensure great rankings!
Getting keyword ideas and phrases that people are looking for can be as simple as typing in google search. Type in your niche keyword and google will auto suggest other related keywords and phrases that other people are searching for. This is a great place to start.
You can also add a letter and go through the alphabet at the beginning of your keywords to see what Google Instant comes up with.
The bottom line is quality content is and will always be king. It leads to rankings in search engines and rankings are going to lead to your website traffic and revenue!
You want to share your experience, reviews and tips about you niche. You want to help people solve a problem they are having or help them achieve a goal. That will help establish you and build that trust factor, because let’s face it, it’s about building relationships and people buy from people they know and trust.
It does take some work but don’t be afraid to put some effort into creating your own content. You can get ideas for content from other sites but please do not just copy and paste as this will get you nowhere in the eyes of the search engines.
I Hate Writing
lol, hey I get it. I felt the same way when I first started. The last time I had written anything worth reading was back in college for term papers but writing is like a muscle. The more we use it the more it improves and over time it becomes natural.
But if you’re dead set against writing and don’t mind putting yourself out there on youtube with videos the same basic principles apply to youtube. Pick your niche, get a domain name and forward the domain to the product your want to promote.
Sure, you could use those ugly affiliate links or an url shortener such as bitly but they look ugly, scammy and will hurt your clickthru rate. Use the same keyword research and apply those to your youtube titles and descriptions.
The main thing again is that you must provide valuable content. It doesn’t matter if it’s your website or youtube. People want to learn, people want to solve a problem or achieve a goal in your niche. Help them by providing quality content and you will be amazed at the results.
