In this article I wanted to share my tips for working from home because I think this is important for all of you who have your own businesses or are working remotely from your company.

I am my own boss and I have various businesses, my day can be super busy at times but I can do all my work from my house or wherever I want to work and I absolutely love it.

But for those of you who are in the same boat with me you understand the struggle of getting out of bed and getting your work day started. There isn’t anybody that’s telling you to do your job. You have to be your own motivator and some days that can be pretty difficult.
My number one tip for those of you who work from home is to step out and go work at a different location from time to time. You could go to a cafe or library, there’s a couple museums that I know that have free Wi-Fi as well.
I’m sure that if you live in any moderately sized city you’ll be able to find a spot where you can get free Wi-Fi and if that’s all you need to get the job done then I would definitely recommend stepping out of the house.

I feel like when I go out to work it inspires me just being able to see other people working or talking or having fun. I’ve gotten business ideas from that as well and on top of that is just kind of energizes me because I’m seeing something different, it is a different environment.
This next tip is going to be a simple one. When you get out of bed in the morning and you finally manage to wake yourself up, Get Dressed!
Don’t go into your home office and just start working with your pajamas on. I know that’s really comfortable and it’s fun to do, I do it too. But when I’m starting to feel like I’m out of focus or feeling lazy I put some clothes on as if I was going to a office.
Put some clothes on as if you were going to the office and that’ll help you get the gears rolling so that you can jump to work and be the most productive that you can be.

Another thing that happens while working from home is that sometimes it can be pretty lonely, especially when most of your friends or family members have regular jobs. They can’t really relate to you and how you have to wake up and be your own boss.
You have to get things done and nobody’s standing behind you making sure that it does get done. It’s all on you and it can be stressful, it can be overwhelming and you can get tired.
I think it’s important to find other remote workers or work from home biz owners that you can relate to and who can support you and give you feedback when you’re struggling.
It helps having that support system especially when most of the people you are surrounded with are working regular jobs and can’t really relate to what you’re dealing with.
This last tip is something I still have trouble applying in my everyday life. That is to unplug and go have fun! You have to do something that re-energizes you.
In my case I go to the beach 2-3 times a week. You can go to a museum, go watch a movie, go hang out with friends or go to a party. Figure something out to do that’s fun because one of the reasons that you’re working from home is to work on your time.Are you wondering about Your Inner Potential?
That means that if your friend calls you at 10am and says, hey lets go grab some coffee you should go do it unless you have an important deadline.
The point is that you have this advantage of being able to organize your schedule the way that you want. You should definitely do it and take advantage of that because it’s not always about work.
It’s so easy to just get consumed with your business especially if it’s a job that you absolutely love. I love all the businesses that I have and the work I do. It’s something that I’m really passionate about so I have no issues putting in a lot of hours.
I wake up super early so that I can get most of my work knocked out and that frees me up for the rest of the day. That’s just me, you need to find a schedule that works for you and learn how to streamline your time and automate as much of your work as you can.

One last tip I want to add for those working from home is to keep an eye on your fitness. It’s easy to start adding weight if you’re working from home because of the sedentary lifestyle. I usually try to work for an hour and take a short walk or do a few exercises.
Sitting at a computer for hours on end will not only affect your weight but your back as well. Your posture from sitting at a computer will change and weaken your back so don’t forget to incorporate some exercises into your work from home routine.
